Kristen is a content strategist at R/GA.
In 2009, she helped to launch Lens, the photojournalism blog of The New York Times. As a multimedia production fellow and social media strategist, she pitched, wrote, edited, and produced posts. She managed the Lens Facebook and Twitter pages, increasing the number of Twitter followers by 10,000 percent. She continues to make regular contributions to Lens.
During the summer of 2009, she was also an intern at The Local for Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, a hyperlocal blogging initiative by The New York Times. While at The Local, she created and led a photography workshop - Look! by The Local - with young people in the neighborhood.
In 2009, UWire named Kristen as one of the top 100 collegiate journalists in the United States.
Kristen has undertaken documentary projects in a kindergarten in Kobe, Japan, a hospital in Wolisso, Ethiopia and a protest camp in Vieques, Puerto Rico.
Since she moved to New York City, Kristen has lived in Harlem, and more recently, Brooklyn. She loves it although she misses Toronto.
